Three Dead, Many Injured in Highway Collision Near Riverside

Bishop, CA - A motor vehicle collision on Highway 395 left 3 dead and 12 injured Monday. A Ford Expedition lost control on Interstate 395 south and crossed into oncoming traffic around 8:30 p.m. Monday, hitting a van driven by Cal Baptist University’s cheer team leader that was also carrying other team members. When officials arrived they declared the team leader, Wendy Rice, as well as two occupants of the Expedition, Natalie Nield and Amanda Post of Cathedral Catholic High School, dead at the scene. 12 people also involved in the collision were hospitalized with both minor and severe injuries.
